If you're looking for an unobtrusive anti virus program that runds in the backround and is totally JAWS accesible, try Microsoft Security Essentials. You can download it from the following site by choosing one of the three links corresponding to your OS (XP 32 bit, Vista/7 32 bit or Vista/7 64 bit) under the heading "First Look: Microsoft Security Essentials Impresses":

I can't stand AVG Free because it keeps taking focus away from the app you are on when it updates. I want a anti-virus that runs completely in the background unless it finds something suspicious.

Hi Albert you just hit the nail on the head with your comment!
I absolutely hate Norton too!
The first one I had was v2004 on my old XP computer the second one I had was the v2007 both were the trial versions!
I had help unstalling both!
AVG free is the best one to use next to the security essentials!
Go ahead and use whatever you think is best!

Hello Marilyn:

I'm going to install that Microsoft security essentials, just as soon as I
can remove nortons antivirus 2009. This is indeed a peace of junk that
never should have been released in the first place. Its totally useless
when it comes to using a screen reader, and there attitude about making
changes to its use, has been one of total indifferents.
