Hi Pam; This is just a guess! If your friend pressed the key combination of Insert / Jaws key + space bar, this keystroke toggles the home rowon/off, the keyboard will do some strange stuff. When you invoke this keystroke you want to hear " home row off " for the keyboard to work correctly. What was your friend doing when this problem occurred? Take care. Mike
