Thanks for your suggestion.  I looked for the setting to run it in classic
mode, but couldn't find it.  By your email, it seems you're suggesting it is
within the menus inside the program, but where?  I'll keep looking
meanwhile.

I suggess that you would appreaceate running Windows Media Player 11 in 
classic mode.
You find the option in the menus in the program.
