Set it on whatever you use for other recording programs or for-the-people if you use that where you know your mike works.

Go into your sound volume control settings and make sure you have your mike selected. Make sure you set the level fairly high to start with, say around 75%.

My guess would be to try the first option first, if that doesn't work, then try the integrated microphone array first, do a test call to the echo server and see if you hear yourself. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kimsan" <[email protected]>

Steve:
It is not set on modem line emulation.
In this combo box here are the choices: external mic (IDT high audio codec),
stereo mix (IDT high audio codec) and integrated microphone aray (IDT high
definition codec).

Go to Skype. Tools menu. O to open options.

Down arrow once to the audio tab.

Tab once and you'll be in the microphone combobox. I'll bet it is on modem
line emulation. Up-arrow to change it to your soundcard.

Well, obviously, that means that you have your audio out going to Skype
rather than your microphone.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] skipe

Hi Folks:

Ok, I just got off skipe with someone and we couldn't accomplish
anything.

I have precluded that the during the skipe calls, the
other
person can hear everything that I am doing and can hear my jaws, I can
hear
them talk but they cannot hear me talk.

I'm using skipe 4.1 using scrips 4.2 on a windows 7 machine using jaws
11.

I hope someone can help or provide more help seeing as I am out of
cigarettes and I am ready to blow my top!
