The key stroke for silencing speech is jaws key spacebar s. Nice feature. But prior to this release you could temporarily mute speech with a designated keystroke. Of course once you leave that area speech would return. However, I kept my temporary mute jaws keystroke (caps lock backspace) but now it will silence speech and keep it silent in any app until I turn speech back on. I think I like my key combo better.
