Don't believe everything you hear. Look at the reviews. I can tell you
both from personal experience, and from numerous reviews, the MSE program
runs completely in the background, consumes very little in the way of
resources, will do a scan very quickly, all in all it is a very good free AV
and anti-spyware program. It gets very good grades from the anti-virus
testing labs.
