Mike, it seems counterintuitive but to see the whole picture you need to
zoom out rather than in.

I've been scanning my family pics into the computer and every time my
husband needs to look at a pic, it's alt v then down arrow twice. I have to
do that twice for him to be able to see the whole thing. Karen

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Viewing Pictures

Hi All;

My wife and I scanned some pictures into the computer but, when trying to
view them I would use the zoom in choice in the context menu and when
zooming in the picture gets bigger , it would also scroll up so that the top
portion of the picture will be missing/chopped off. This happens when a
picture using ".JPG" or ".TIF" format. When using ".BMP" format the picture
appears just fine. 2 questions.
1. What keystrokes can I use, using Jaws, should I use to zoom in / enlarge
a picture so the whole picture can be viewed when viewing in ".JPG" or
".TIF" formats?
2. Why are the size of the pictures and the size on disk different? I
listed the sizes of just 1 picture in all 3 formats below.

.tif 13.6 MB size on disk 3.76 MB

.BMP 2.98 MB size on disk 2.78 MB

.JPG 496KB size on disk 460 KB

I am running XPSP3 Home and Jaws 10 latest. All help will be greatly and
graciously appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike
