Hello Kliph,

No, WinFF is not a DVD ripping program. There are a couple free programs
for ripping DVDS that I have used in the past and work well with JAWS. One
is DVD Shrink and the other is DVDFab HD Encrypter. DVD Shrink offers
compression but the free version of DVDFab does not compress files. Neither
of the programs will burn the created DVD folders back to a DVD so you would
have to also have DVD burning software. The paid version of DVDFab DVD to
DVD has both compression and burning capabilities. The latest version of
DVD Shrink was released a few years ago and works well with XP 32-bit
Windows, but I don't know how it works with Vista or Windows 7. I don't
think there should be a problem running it in those versions of Windows. It
will likely at least run in compatibility mode but I don't think that is
necessary. Write me at the Email address shown below if you want to get
more info on those two programs. They can be used with JAWS but the JAWS
cursor needs to be used quite a bit.

Take care.

Does this program allow you to rip DVD's to your PC?

Hi Kim,

I really don't know why WinFF wouldn't work well with earlier versions of

JAWS for Windows. I haven't used Goldwave and so I am not familiar with its

converting operations. A lot of people on this list use Goldwave, and if it

is working for you then you might not need to change. I will leave the

program in my drop box for a couple days so feel free to download it and try

it out if you want to. You can easily uninstall it using add/remove

programs in XP or Programs and Features in Vista or Windows 7.

Have a great rest of the long weekend!

Take care.

Will this work with older versions of Jaws?

I have been using goldwave to convert videos to audio, and it is fine, but,

if this is eayser; Cool!!!.
