Yes, that works, but you have to have Internet and Network Paths with
Hyperlinks checked in the AutoCorrect options. In Word 200e, this is found
under the Auto Format as you Type tab, and the Auto Format tab. Cyheck them
both. Then when you press a space after a link, it turns it into a
hyperlink. Note that if you want a period at the end of a link and do not
want it as part of the actual link, press space, the link will be created,
then delete the space and add any end punctuation.

Aloha Mike,
I saw the previous posts for this and I have an addition.
Not sure about Word 2002, but in 2003 and forward, if you just put
your cursor at the end of a link or email address and press the
spacebar, it will make it a hyperlink. I know this works because I do
braille transcription and it's something we do daily.
