Thanks, Darrin. I'll give you a call if I really get stuck but I think that
I'm getting it now. I found a list of JAWS keystrokes to go with the
scripts and that is really helping.

Greg,

If you need any tips or a brief intro, let me know. You could even give me
a call or something. It's actually pretty easy to use once you get used to
manipulating the "start" and "finish" markers.

Thanks for the tip, Darrin and Chris.

I've installed Goldwave and the scripts but I might use up all 2500 commands
just learning how to use this one. I figure if I'm doing ok with it by the
time it asks me for money I'll go ahead and pay for a year.

Thanks,
--Greg

Goldwave works very well with JAWS, especially if you install the free
scripts. It will allow you either 250 or 500 key strokes as a fully
functional demo so you can try it before requiring you to buy it. That
should be plenty of key strokes to trim the beginnings and ends of a few
files and to merge several files together. If you need to do more editing
than that, it's well worth the $49 purchase price. I bought it over a year
ago and don't regret it!

What is the best sound file editor to be used with JAWS? I don't need
anything fancy but I need to trim off the beginning and end of some
recordings, and maybe merge 2 or 3 recordings together.

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, and the latest version of JAWS.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
