Thank you very much for the feedback about Winzip version 14.5. Is WinRAR
useful for file types that Winzip doesn't handle?

It's late; otherwise, I would google WinRAR.

Hello Gary,

Short of WinZip handling more file types then it's previous versions, there
is absolutely no change to the program, other then setting the wizard to
come up all the time, if you choose that mode, but again, this is optional.

There is also a ultimate super compression setting you can use with WinZip
14, however, if you're going to share archives zipped up in this super zip
format, make sure the people you are sharing your zip file with have version
12 or higher, because older version don't recognize this super compression
file it creates.

Personally, I always use legacy compression, as this is the most compatible
with most, if not all archiving programs out there. Just a warning.

As I said before, this version is much more versatile than it's previous
versions, especially since it can handle RAR files, and ISO files, and other
Disc image files.

I am using it myself, and I think it's great.

I do use both WinZip, and WinRAR, for those pesky stubborn archives that
give me problems, but I find that the two compliment each other, rather than
interfere with each other.

In any case, I think it's a great program, and well worth the investment.
