That is typical behavior if you want to delete an entire conversation.
If you don't want that feature, then go into your views menu, current view,
and uncheck group by conversation.

On my other computer prior to changing from xp to windows seven I had
follow conversation enabled in outlook express. I had it whereby when you
arrowed through messages it would say collapse. Of course now I have to
use a different email client like windows live. However, on my netbook I
still have xp and outlook express. I have follow conversation enabled but
it keeps landing on expanded instead of collapse. I have to always left
arrow to get to collapse so I can delete the entire conversation. What do
I need to do to fix this issue? Thanks. .
