If all a person wishes to do is roll back their respective version of IE then simply do the following:
open up the run dialog with a windows key + R then type control and hit enter then find add or remove programs or what ever it's called arrow down to internet explorer 8 for example and then tab over to the remove button that boys and girls is all you need to do.
