I hope that nothing drastic happens.

Hello Francis,
One thing you can check for is how many or if there are any new programs
that are starting at start up.
The first place to look might be the Startup folder in the All Programs
list. Another place to check is the MsConfig command and look under the
StartUp tab.
You can run this command from the run box under the start menu.
Type msconfig in the run box and wait a moment, a window will appear with
tabs across the top. Tab until you hear Startup.
This is a list of all of the programs that start when your system starts
up.
Be careful not to change anything unless you know what the specific
programs does.
I have trimmed my list down to three items.
HTH,
TJ

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS takes a long time to startup
I have noticed recently that when I start my computer JFW takes about 50
seconds approximately to start up from the time the Windows music has
finished. Is there something I can do for JAWS to come on earlier?
