You want a wireless router. Linksys, now part of Cisco Systems, makes some good routers.

You can spend quite a bit of money and get one that is the highest speed, N capable. But, its likely that your laptops may not have N capability in which case you could settle for one with 802.11G capability such as the WRT54G.

Make sure any router you do decide to get has support for WPA2 encryption which will make your wireless network much more secure than the old WEP standard.
