Thank you Mr. David.

I wanted to point out that because Office 2007 uses Word as its editor and
you cannot change that, some of the problems I mentioned with Outlook, also
show up in Word. The other thing to keep in mind is how is the user using
Word. If they are using it for just basic typing, and not doing any
formatting, tables, columns, etc. Then JAWS 8 might do just fine. If the
user is doing a bit more advanced work then this with Word, or they are
having to read documents created by others, I personally think that there is
a strong case for upgrading to JAWS 11. If an upgrade to Windows 7 is on
the horizon for the agency, then I think upgrading needs to be taken into
consideration. I am a firm believer in if it is not broke, don't fix it,
but when you are comparing agency use to individual use, sometimes upgrading
is really the best solution. My 2 cents.

Thank you miss Annette: I recall that you are far more of an expert in word
than I am so your opinion means a lot to me.

Hi David,

At our agency we were using versions of JAWS ranging from 7 through 10.
When we upgraded to Office 2007, the problems were endless. Once we
upgraded to JAWS 11, there were significant improvements, with a few new
issues in Outlook. However, the last 2 updates to JAWS 11 seemed to have
cleared up most of them. Many of us are continuing to have issues with JAWS
loosing focus when coming out of the Ribbon when in an Outlook message, but
this is minor compared to the problems we were having with earlier versions
of JAWS.

HTH,
Annette

Thank you for getting back to me. My wife needed to know as she works for a
rehabilitation agency funded by the state and they have to find out if their
license should be upgraded or not.

the is the first.
