The issue is, when I plug into my SigmaTel and run jfw through it, I can't quite figure out why, but Eloquence sounds totally out of phaise. Aside the mike jack though, I can't get any of the other jacks on the onboard to output any audio at all. Plus, the audio level even when turned up all the way is kind a quiet on the SigmaTel, so I wind up having to run the master fader on my board way up, which then causes my hard limiters to kick in, and I start peeking the meter, and clippity clip all over the place. And lamentably, the SigmaTel I use comes up in xp's device manager as an I D T Audio1. Whatever the hell that? means. I do know this: the U I interface for that onboard chip I have is ab, suh, lootly? uh, tr'rocious! Oh, It, is, just! aweful! And that's an under! statement! It's not accessible hardly at all. Definitely! not enough to do anything usable with, I'll sure as heck say that. That's really the only reason that I've set my system up the way I did. If it weren't for the thing especially sounding totally outta phaise, I'd run jaws through the sigmatel, no problem, but unfortunately, I just can't get used to that wavy sound that it makes with my speech.
If you got any suggestions, you let me know, and I'll try it, but I'm kind a plunp out of options.
