I am not clear about your "paragraph marked problem"
but if you are hearing something like paragraph as you read the document,
you can use shift plus control and number 8 on the numbers row to toggle
this feature off if that is the issue.  you talking about using shift plus
control and another key to turn on something suggests this might be the
issue.

the problems have now been fixed. The headings issue was user error. I
changed the hotkey on desktop icon on Jaws 11 however, I did not change the hot key in Jaws 11 on the programs page. i did not find a technical fix for the paragraph marked issue but I was able to cut and paste the material in a new document and go from there. I ended up getting into the paragraph marked i believe by pressing control shift "O" or alt shift "O". . I don't know but
hopefully I don't make that mistake in the future.
