Russ,

You can choose a manual quick-scan or thorough scan.

Also, if you open MSSE, tab until you hear the home button, then left arrow once or twice, you will land on a settings treview where you can configure settings to tell MSEE what you want it to do for various default actions.

Troy,
I have listened to the install video, sounds simple.
Once installed, can you choose how often a scan is performed, or if you want to do this manually?
Thank you,
Russ

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft Security Essentials on my netbook

Hi everyone,

I have been using AVG paid version on my netbook and have been having some
sluggishness with Openbook 9 with the pearl.

A very trusted tech friend, informed me that now, Microsoft Security
Essentials, is the best way to go. He said that many times programs seem to become bloated, growing larger as you use them and they add more to their
program and can slow down your processor.

Awhile back I heard much talk about, Microsoft Security Essentials, on this list. Would someone send some information on this? Possibly a link to the
program?

Lastly, is it safe to uninstall AVG just using the uninstall on the program
itself?

Thank you

Russ

P.S. I look forward to your daily tips!
