I am doing it right now and have been for several months already. My guess is that they should not both be the same sound card. You know I could try that but just figured it wouldn't work. David Ferrin [email protected] I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I'll probably screw that one up too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Robbins" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 31, 2010 7:40 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] changing the volume of Jaws independently
David, Thanks. Is it possible to have more than one USB sound card operating at a time? BTW tiger direct is where I got them and either a CMedia or a Sabrent sound card. On this system jaws has it's own sound card which is great since I never know when the next tandem session is going to happen. I just got off of one a couple of minutes ago. They start at around $12.99 and simply plug in and you're up and running with sound. I have one dedicated to jaws and everything else to the other. That way I can adjust the volume for web page or music if I so desire. For me it made life so simpler. -----Original Message----- From: Rick Justice Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 4:22 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] changing the volume of Jaws independently Hi Sherri, You can't change the volume of Jaws independently, however, you can change the volume of Winamp. In Winamp, use the up and down arrow keys to control the volume. I am running JFW10 with Windows XP and Eloquence. Is it possible for me to change the volume of Jaws and leave the other items I am running, say Winamp, the same volume. If I have Winamp set to 100%, Jaws is very loud. Is there a way to lower the volume of Jaws without affecting the Winamp volume? Thanks.
