Hi, here's the old version of vlc 0.8.6. Asus DVD was also accessible, that was based around power DVD but that one needs a serial to register and i'd probably have to send you the version i have off list if at all, i'm not even sure if it works well to be honest although when i last used it, although the dvd menus weren't accessible chapter selection, titles etc was. anyway here's the link to vlc.

Also, you could try installing the k lite codec pack, that'll enable you to play all kinds of formats.

An older version, 0.8.6i, of VLC Player was accessible. I wish they would provide an interface to the latest version! Being 'stuck' at a out of date, unsupported version is not ideal. I hear there are new features, such as scheduling recording Internet live streams and improved real time transcodeing, which I would be interested in checking out.

I had a copy sitting in my Drop Box:

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter.

VLC is freeware but sadly most of it is inaccesible WRT hot keys to FF, rewind, play, jump from title to title etc.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws friendly DVD player

Is there any free accessible DVD playing software that works well with
windows xp and jaws? I'm not looking for something extra-ordinary; just a
basic application that has hot keys for things like pause/play,
revind/forward etc and allows one to navigate through the various
files/folders in the DVD. I have searched on-line but haven't found anything
useful and accessible that is also free.

Or alternatively, where can I find a free plug-in that enables windows media
player to play DVDs? Since the latter is not jaws specific, a private
response would probably be better.

Thanks in advance for any help.
