hi,

personally, I keep it turned on all the time. It's designed as a security feature to stop programmes getting permission to make changes to sensitive areas of the OS without the user knowing about it, without it, you run the risk of something gaining access to important system files without your knowledge or consent. it works fine with jaws, just like a regular dialogue in fact.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7, user account controls

Hi everyone,

How important do you think user account controls is with Windows 7? How does it work with Jaws? I have turned mine off for my last two computers and have
had no problem. Maybe I was lucky.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Russ
