Memory is the first thing that crosses my mind. If it's windows 7 then I suggest at least 4 GB. Most systems now have the where with all to handle what you are likely to throw at them. I'm looking strongly at a system with 6 GB of memory but then I expect a lot out of my systems and really give them a work out during a normal day.
