Alan,
Use Windows+pause keys, (the pause key being the rightmost of the three
above the 6-pack on a desktop keyboard). You then see a group of tab
controls.

Alan,> I think what you're looking for is the information one can find
under Windows Task Manager. Two ways you can bring it up:
1. Ctrl+Shift+Escape key sequence -or-
2. Ctrl+Alt+Delete key sequence
From there you can examine various information on system resources.

Hello Friends,
Using JAWS 11, an XP-Home machine, how does one check their "System
Resources"?
I used to know, and being a person who used a lot of different
programs during the day, opening and closing them, thus running down
my System Resources, I would some time reboot, to bring my System
Resources back to top level.
But I forgot how to check "System Resources".
Can some kind person tell me how?
Thanks very much.

Memory is the first thing that crosses my mind. If it's windows 7
then I
suggest at least 4 GB. Most systems now have the where with all to
handle
what you are likely to throw at them. I'm looking strongly at a
system with
6 GB of memory but then I expect a lot out of my systems and really
give
them a work out during a normal day.

too.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Buying a new desk top
Hello everyone,
My desk top has completely crashed. It is six and a half years old.
I have
a lap top, but I want to invest in another desk top. I am using jaws
12. Is
there anything specific that I should consider? My husband is
sighted, so I
will have sighted assistance to get it going.
