Thanks. My colleague, Rikki, is able to use tables OK and can also
create queries (He uses Notepad to type out the raw SQL statements then
cuts/pastes into a blank query window).  The main sticking point at the
moment is adding controls. He can access the menus to select the control
but we haven't worked out the keystrokes to add the control to the form.
CTRL + SHIFT + B just gives an invalid script message.

Yes. I worked with access 2007 in an office course. I found it to be
very 
accessible with a few tricks. Except when it came time to make a query
on 
the database, then it was jaws cursor all the way.
I was able to make databases, enter data and that was the easy part. I
can't 
quite remember the key to jump between the fields. It was kinda like
iTunes 
with F6. I'll see if I can play with it again or email someone who does 
know.
