Could it be the checkbox in the Player settings page, Connect to the
Internet (overrides other commands). (If checked, this should be
unchecked.)

I recently got my win 7 Pro PC and one of the things which impressed
me from the get go was the system automatically detecting my home
wi-fi network and effortlessly connecting to same. No network
connection wizard or any of that XP stuff. Really was great not to
have to do all that set-up.

interesting that the desk top is in tab order among other things but
so far nothing I can't handle. I did manage to get it in to classic
mode with the address to show up in the title bar in windows
explorer and to a large extent do the out of box experience with

jaws 12, next I'll hook it to my network and install service pack 1
