Hello Prateek, You can use the default keyboard manager and either change the keystroke or add a new one. Use JAWS key with function key 2 and choose keyboard manager from the list of managers. Press CTRL+Shift+D to load the default keyboard manager. Tab into the list of items. Press J and then arrow down in the list of functions until you find the one for JAWSMemDmp. Go under the action menu using Alt+A. If you choose to add a keystroke then press enter on the choice for adding a keystroke. You will get a box for assigning the keystroke to use. You might think about using Alt+CTRL+Windows key and J. Tab to the OK button and press spacebar. Press spacebar on the "yes" button to answer that you are sure. Use CTRL+S to save the addition to the file.
Take care. Hi. Jaws_key- windows_key- F4 is great but my fingers have to do some major feeling up and tough gymnastics all over the kbd. Each of the 3 keys are as far away from each other as possible. Is there a way for me on a windows7 JFW12 PC to make a more ergo ctrol-alt shortcut for the jaws_key- windows_key- F4 combo? I do not know this for sure but what i remembered reading is that jawskey+f4 will just exit jaws regulary as if you did alt+f4 on the jaws application widnow, asking if you want to really close out jaws. what I called the "emergency exit command" - and learned was jawskey+windowsKey+f4 closes down all processes connected to jaws without asking confirmation. I find that especially if running jaws as a service - using "start jaws when windows starts" - I am unable to close down jaws from the task manager when it crashes. This sometimes hapepns that I lose speech and the jaws widnow might even disappear but jaws is still in the list of running tasks and cannot be shut down. I am hoping that this "emergency exit" command can be used in this case. I will try this the next time i have such a crash - if I can get my+ fingers worked into the right knot to do the winkey+jawskey+f4 Thanks to everyone for replying and refreshing my memory btw! I really appreciate this.
