Hi Alan; It sounds like you might need to change the language in OE options. Do the following to see if this helps. 1. While in Outlook Express press control, shift, + O, to open the OE options. 2. Control + tab to the spelling page / tab. 3. tab to the language combo box, it's around 6 tabs. Arrow up or down until English, United States, is highlighted. Now, tab to apply, press spacebar, tab to okay, & press enter. Hope this helps. Take care. Mike
