Hi Steve, Thank you for your reply. I wanted to know where I could make line spacing changes from within the Word program without using the Control + 1 or 2 keystrokes. I guess " manually " was a bad choice of words but, I couldn't think of another way to describe what I wanted at the time. Anyways, you are correct the line spacing option is under the format / paragraph option. Thanks again, take care. Mike

Control-1 is single, control-2 is double, control-5 is 1.5. You can find line spacing under the paragraph settings. I don't recall the exact area where you find paragraph in Word 2002, it may be under format.
