Hi Janie & John, Thank you very much for the suggestions but, I can't use the keystrokes because they are assigned to other tasks'. Ann & Flor told me where to browse to in Word to find this option. It is under format / paragraph / Indents & Spacing tab, & tab several times to find the line spacing combobox. Thanks again, take care. Mike
