Hi.

It comes as a separate update, and if you only hear the message, that there is an update for Windows Live 2011, than just ignore this.

If you really want to hide this update, than in your search box type Taskbar and choose Taskbar and Menuen Start, and from the Taskbar tab, select the Customize button, from where you can make your chois for, which icon's shall appear in the taskbar. Find the Windows Live 2011 Icon's, and from the Compobox select Icon and message's, and press ok.
Press ok once more.

Now you can find the update on the Taskbar, and after selected this, press the context menu key, and find the selection "Hide update" and press enter.

This should get it to disappear from your update opportunities.

Good luck.

Hans Pauli.

I did not see Windows Live Essentials in the list. I did see something call
Microsoft Security Essentials client in the list, Is this the same as
Windows Live Essentials?

You can type the words "windows update" (without the quotes) in the start
menu search box and press enter when you hear that choice. When Windows
update opens, use shift+tab a couple of times until you hear the link for
the important updates. Press enter on the link. You will get a list of
updates. Use up or down arrow key to the one you want to hide. Use the
application key or shift+f10 to bring up the contextual menu. Use down
arrow in the menu until you find the choice to hide the update and press
enter key.

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] hiding Windows Live Essentials update

Someone suggested I should hide the Windows Live Essentials update message
if I did not want to do the update. I can not locate in Win 7 how to do
this. I don't see it in MSCONFIG startup group.
