I use a rather expensive program for my Bible study called Logos Platinum 4 which also includes a cacophony of resources I have added since I began building my electronic library in 2001. I usually use Jaws about 75% and Magic about 25% of the time when I'm on the computer since I suffered a major vision loss in March. I already used both but after March I began to depend much more on Jaws. Libronix, makers of Logos made the transition to cloud when they moved from version 3 to version 4 a year or so ago. This has several advantages for people like me who have over 2,000 resources and are licensed to access them on several computers. I can have instant access to my place on either laptop at any time, any where. However, with version 4 i could barely access Logos without vision. They are working on making it accessible but we all know that there are many obstacles with graphical heavy applications.
today I installed the beta of jaws 13 and tried Logos 4 and it read the entire 3 column screen which has been for the most part inaccessible since March. I figure with FS working on improving Jaws, Logos working on improving accessibility I can't lose. I use this program every single day of my life and have thousands tied up in it. I love convenient OCR already. blind5sparrow ----- No virus found in this message.
