Be sure you are using the full version of Office 2010. My experience with
the trial versions is that they are not supported by Jaws. This was
confirmed by Freedom Scientific when I inquired about this.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS not reading excel cells
I just downloaded the trial version of MS Office 2010 Home &
Student version. When I load an excel worksheet or open a
new one using the arrow keys as I normally do in excel
nothing is announced as to what cell I'm in or what the
content of the cell is. Same problem with using ctrl page up
or down, it is supposed to announce the name of the
worksheet. If I alt tab away and then back It will announce
which worksheet I'm in. I checked this out with version 12
as well and same result so I don't think it is a bug in 13.
I've been using excel for 10 years on and off the job with
Office 2000, figured it is about time to upgrade but....Is
there some setting in JAWS I need to make with excel 2010 to
make it work? I checked the help files of JAWS but didn't
see anything. All help appreciated
thanks
