But look at the running script name with insert-q. It almost certainly says that default scripts are loaded instead of excel scripts.

Be sure you are using the full version of Office 2010.  My
experience with
the trial versions is that they are not supported by Jaws.
This was
confirmed by Freedom Scientific when I inquired about this.
