Would check the display settings. They may not
sound like they do a lot. But, I can get jaws to
not read things in one resolution and more in
higher resolutions. Also make sure it is set to 32 bit color.
Those setting can make a big difference in jaws
depending on video card. Seems that jaws does
better on some video cards than others.

Hi Doris: Thanks for calling me a geek and
saying that I am irresponsible and that I am
copping-out by asking my wife for assistance. A
tech person told me to do that, I know next time
not to listen to what they say until I read up
and investigate the issue myself as Iâve
always done. I am a self-taught computer user. I
have always learned by trial and error. As far
as these kinds of changes, I normally would not
do them, but they assured me that it would be OK
to do so. My problem started when I had the
staples store install windows 7 on my vista
computer and I also had them install more memory
as well. Now, when I type a search into the
search box on the start menu, I have to type
just about the whole word and press down arrow
to get the search results list to come up. This
works, but it is annoying. I have called
Freedomâs Scientificsâ tech. 2 team about
this issue. They have no idea why the search
edit field is not behaving correctly. Since you
are an advanced user, do you have any
suggestions? Also I want to thank you Steve for
your reply. Jim For answers to frequently asked
