Hi, Meared,
1. Reboot your system and try to delete the folder. (I did this and it still
says recycling dialog cancel button.) 
2. if the reboot doesn't solve the problem, try to rename the folders
starting from the last one in the tree and delete  each folder inside-out.
(When I do this, my laptop freezes) 
3. If the renaming/deleting doesn't work from the Windows Explorer, use the
"Command Prompt". (can you give steps on how to do this?)
BTW, this folder is called tech emails and inside the folder are .msg's of
emails I have save over the months. I can delete any folder on my computer
but this folder seems to be a pain in the arce to remove. I have a copy even
on my external hd and it will not delete from there neither.
