If you use the insert v option you can find an item to set that setting. I am not enamored with the search box on the quick settings only because I seem never to remember the name of what I am searching for an get no results or things way off target. Maybe if you type in header, you will find it but I find I am almost always going through 90% of the list to find what I am looking for. This was especially annoying when I was trying to set up IE nine to make a sound on a link, which I had to do from the insert F6 item instead of the quick settings.
Maybe it is because I use 9 at work and am so used to the old configuration manager, I just find the setting center and quick settings more difficult to use, then again, probably once I set everything to my liking when a new Jaws is out, then seldom go there again, I am just not familiar with it, it probably would be nice, if I needed to use it more. I am receiving assistance with setting up and adjusting to a new Windows 7 computer with Jaws 13 and I E 9. Some of you know me from other lists so you know I'm an older person, very inept and uncomfortable with computer technology even though I've been using it for quite some time. So I have just a very simple question at this point. We installed Outlook because it is similar to Outlook Express and because I didn't want to deal with WLM. But nothing has really been configured yet. I noticed that when reading emails, Jaws 13 is reading the header as well as the body of the email. It isn't doing that on my old computer. I have Jaws 12 and Outlook Express and if I want to read the header I have to shift tab to get to the top of it. Is that because the program is different or because we haven't configured Jaws not to read the header?
