Which version of JAWS 12 do you have? Did you use the update feature
of the JAWS menu to get and install it?
When I had this problem I downloaded a fresh JAWS and re-installed it.

Look at the html settings in the default jaws scripts. that is a web
page element to break up the page like a line break.
