I haven't bothered using control J because it tells me the progress without
that. It does not say when the download is complete but when I don't hear
anything, I check where I am with insert t or insert b and if I'm back in
the list of books, I know it's done.

Just downloaded another book and just used alt s and then control j as
advised and found the option and entered this to check the notification area
It automatically gets copied by humanware and it is easy to find in the
download folder under my name Janie I also before used insert b to listen to
the progress but it never tells me the download is complete Any advice here?

What I'm doing is after I press enter on the download link, I press alt S.
I hear the progress of the download. If I don't, I press insert B. The
download goes to the downloads folder on my computer. I then cut and paste
the zip file to my books folder in My Documents, where companion can find
it. I have chosen not to change the download path for books because all
downloads would then end up in that books folder. I now have a win7
computer, IE9, and jaws 13. The download is very fast. If I just press alt
s after I enter on the download link, I don't get into difficulty. If I
press alt N, things can get more complicated.

Got IE9 and it is different downloading from BARD now Are the commands alt n
then alt s Kindly advise also, how can I get the progress of the download
spoken???
