I am not 100% sure this is going to do what you want, but you can give it a
try.

Place your cursor on the line of the document where you want to place the
line. This would be below your name in the example you gave.
Open the Insert tab on the ribbon.
Tab to Shapes.
Press enter to open the menu
Arrow down to Line and press Enter.
Now that you are back in your document, press Enter and continue with
working on your document.

I just gave it a try, and as with previous versions of Word, JAWS does not
indicate that there is anything after you insert the line. So I do not know
if this actually worked. You will need to get someone to look at it for
you.

hTH,
Annette

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question about Word2010

Hello all,
I have a really quick question on Word2010. If I wanted to put a thin
horizontal line across a document to separate two sections how would Igo
about doing that? I am creating a resume for my professional writing class
and I want to separate the part with my name and such from the rest of the
document.
Thanks,
Greg W.
