They're called Shift1 and shift2 in the documentation, I think.

André,

They are the two shift keys, right- and left-shift. In JAWS12 up, they
came to be used in various braille chorded keys. If you activate
Keyboard help as usual or with the dots1-456 and space chord, you can
experiment and see.

I had to get mine repaired, and was most disappointed and frustrated
when it wasn't done fully. It now is. But i was without it for a few
months. Focus40 blue owners, Try to get familiar with the Diagnostics
Mode: It's more important than I at least thought.

Another nice thing about the unit is that it works well with NVDA !!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] extra buttons on 40 focus blue

Hi all

Here's something that puzzles me.

According to the documentation that came with my new focus 40 blue, on
the
front of the display, you have

2 panning buttons

2 selector buttons.

And two rocker bars.

However what puzzles me is that between the two selector buttons there
is
a raised area with two additional buttons which is not mentioned in
any
documentation - not even in the help documentation at all. They also do
not
seem to do anything at all.

Can someone assist here?

Very puzzling!

Andre
