Damien,

Check which keyboard layout you are using. Press alt+shift keys to navigate between them, until you come to United Kingdom or irish. For the acute accents, you would use alt+ctrl+vowel. For the grave accents, which the broad irish vowels are, you would add shift to alt and control keys; thus alt+ctrl+shift+a for Á, as in lÁ.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Another ms word question.

Hi everyone.

I'm using jaws 11 and ms word 2007. Can anyone tell me how to insert acute symbols on to vowels such as A acute etc? When I hold down the alt key and press the appropriate letter, I get a completely different response such as
"language in use" when I press alt A or "overtype" when I press Alt I.

Thanks in advance

Damien.
