Check which keyboard layout you are using. Press alt+shift keys to navigate
between them, until you come to United Kingdom or irish. For the acute
accents, you would use alt+ctrl+vowel. For the grave accents, which the
broad irish vowels are, you would add shift to alt and control keys; thus
alt+ctrl+shift+a for Á, as in lÁ.
