Hi, The major difference between audacity and goldwave is that audacity is a multi-track editor. So you can create a recording using a number of tracks, for example one or more voice tracks , one or more music tracks, etc. You can apply effects to only some of the tracks, time shift one or more tracks, and stuff like this. David. original message: Hi, So audacity and goldwave are pretty much similar programs? I have been thinking swiching over to audacity because I just don't like being subject to using one program for everything you know?
I have heard people talk about audacity over the years and I have been meaning to look at it but for some reason kept trying to learn goldwave. So, would audacity be the way to go or goldwave or is it personal preference? For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
