On the main youtube site, one way to search for buttons is to press the letter b repeatedly. This will cycle you through the various options. Once you've found pause, just hit space bar. However, there is also an accessible interface for youtube the can be operated using keyboard shortcuts. It's fairly stripped down compared to the main site, but I've found it works well and it may be right up someone's alley. The url is: tube.majestyc.net Unlike the main Youtube site, your video won't begin playing automatically once you've searched for and selected it. To start it, you can either hunt for the very clearly labelled play button or simply hit alt-z. This same command will pause the video once it's playing. Alt-x will back up 15 seconds, alt-c will move forward the same amount of time.
