Hi Kliphton, Does your network icon show in the system tray? You can access the network and sharing center from there HTH, Rick Justice ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kliphton" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 2:51 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] start menu search box?
You are correct, I have recently added a printer. But typing the whole word network still brings nothing close except managing network passwords. Nothing close to what I want. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of dgcnc Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 2:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] start menu search box? Can you get what you seek by typing Network? It sounds like you have added the printer recently and it has something to do with net in the name. You may have to type more or be more specific about what you seek. -----Original Message----- From: Kliphton Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 8:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] start menu search box? Okay, didn't know how to word this question. When I go to the top of my start menu in windows 7, there is a search box. Up until about 3 weeks ago when I typed the word "net" it would bring up my network, so I could manage the devices, see what was connected, and let me make any changes. Now when I type this word, all it brings up is something to do with my all in one printer. Even when I go all the way down, it doesn't bring up the network, it says "see more results" Is there any way to reset this without restoring to factory defaults?
