I have just started with Win 7, and so far I like it but there are a few
things I don't understand, such as using libraries and the concept of
"pinning", such as pinning files to programs, or pinning items to the
desktop as opposed to just putting items on the desktop.  Also, what are
gadgets.

with the exception of windows live mail, I think that win 7 is the best 
thing since sliced bread. It does so much to make things easy. For
example, 
I tap the windows key then enter di enter and disk clean up is running.
tap 
windows key, e the enter and internet explorer is running and the list
goes 
on
