Susie, I contacted Freedom Scientific and asked them about this so-called acceleration to Jaws 14. Freedom has no such intentions at this time. I'm not sure where this information came from, but it may be based on an incorrect extrapolation of facts. For the record, I use quite a few different programs and I have had no trouble at all with Jaws 13. I think that it's an excellent program. If there are problems, and there always are with someone somewhere, they are unique to the individual or at least to the application being considered. They need not concern you or me. If, on the other hand, one of us develops an issue with Jaws 13 that we can't solve, then we have quite a few very efficient people on this list who can and often do find answers to problems that come up. With people like Rick Justice, David Farren, David Whitehead, just to name a few, I doubt that there is any Jaws issue that can't be solved.
