I have a 64 bit windows 7 set up.

I got the notice on turning on this morning, it updated but after pressing the ok button to restart, it did not. I waited for a good ten minutes before I rebooted. had no idea if there were any message on the screen.

All seems ok after the manual reboot.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] take heed: latest update

First, a bit of background. I've got 2 computers, one running windows 7
64 bit, the other windows xp service pack 3. Jaws has released build
1106 of 13.0. I got the notification about it when I turned on the
computer running windows 7 64 bit. So I install the update. It installs
with no problem, after which the computer is restarted. Then I get an
error message saying "jhook.dll is missing from your computer". So I try
reinstalling the program from the full download. It then tells me that
another version of jaws is installed and to uninstall it. Good thing I
have a demo of Window Eyes on this computer, or I would not have known
what was going on for a while. So I uninstall Jaws, then reinstall it,
and now everything works. Interestingly enough, the 32 bit version did
not have this problem and worked like a champ. Hope this is helpful.
