Hi Sherri,
Try the following;
1. Press the Windows key to bring up the start menu & then press the
escape
key so you are on the start button.
2. Press Alt + enter to open the Task Bar & Start Menu properties & tab
to,
notification Hide inactive icons. You can also press Alt + H to get here.
This box needs to be checked.
3. Tab 1 time to, Customize... & press the spacebar to open.
4. You are now in a list of system tray Icons. Arrow down the list until
you get to an Icon you want to have showing. When you get to 1 you are
interested in, right arrow, and you will be in a drop down that offers
three
choices: Hide when Inactive, Never Show, and
Always show. Select Always Show, and left arrow 1 time to get back into
the
list of Icons. Repeat this procedure until you have changed all the Icons
you are interested in changing.
5. Press Enter twice, to save your changes, and exit.
Now, repeat steps 1 & 2. You want to uncheck the, notification Hide
inactive icons, checkbox, tab to apply, press spacebar, tab to okay ,
press
enter to save the change & close.
Hope this helped. Take care.
Mike

Subject: [JAWS-Users] adding items to system tray
Hello all,
I am running Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 with Jaws 10. I just
had
some repairs done on this computer and when I got it back, lots of items
that used to be in the system tray are no longer there. How do I add items
to the system tray. Want to add items like winamp and my AVG. Any help
would
be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
